In my opinion, relaxation and a total escape from everyday life can only be achieved at sea and in the archipelago. My enthusiasm for the sport began in the Turku archipelago in Rymättylä, where I learned to handle a small rowboat with an outboard motor around our summer cottage when I was just 4 years old. I got my first very own boat at the age of 10, and a larger motorboat I received as a confirmation gift later allowed me to truly explore the Archipelago Sea. The skills of navigation, reading sea charts, and general seaworthiness were indeed learned the hard way, authentically on the water.
As I grew older, ever larger boats and yachts began to interest me, and I sought work as an assistant at a familiar shipyard, washing and moving larger boats. Eventually, the owner of the shipyard taught me how to drive large yachts, which naturally did not quench my passion, but rather strengthened my belief in the greatness of the sport. My experience also grew on larger waters: Transfer trips from Denmark, England, the Netherlands, and Sweden to Finland have been some of the finest and also some of the most challenging experiences of my boating career. Eventually, a passionate hobby turned into a business that started with the transfer and brokerage of boats and yachts, evolving into an importer and representative for certain boat brands.
The latest addition to our range is the legendary British boat brand Fairline. We are proud to be Fairline’s official dealer in Finland and Estonia in cooperation with Stratos Oy. In addition to Fairline, we import Swedish-made Rupert RIB boats suitable for even demanding boating, and our representation includes the acclaimed Windy day cruiser range.
